Jayla James is a professional dance artist from Nova Scotia, Canada.
She recently finished her third contract under Royal Caribbean Cruise Line Entertainment, working as a dancer in Spectra's Cabaret onboard Ovation of the Seas.

Jayla is professionally trained in Hip-Hop, Jazz, Heels, Contemporary, Modern, Ballet and Musical Theatre and recently has trained as an Aerialist. She has recently worked with Royal Caribbean as a dancer & aerialist.
She developed a love for the art of dance at a young age, beginning her first dance class at the age of four.
She continued her dance training in studios in her hometown until her late teens when she moved to the city of Toronto to pursue her dreams professionally.

Jayla has trained at The Room and Board LA (2022) under Kolanie Marks and in George Brown College’s Commercial Dance Program (2019). Within the college program she studied dance genres hip-hop, jazz, ballet, contemporary and musical theatre as well as acting and singing.
​She has recently finished her third contract with Royal Caribbean in Spectra's Cabaret onboard Ovation of the Seas. She has also performed in Aqua 80 onboard Oasis of the Seas, and Spectra's Cabaret on Anthem of the Seas. Jayla has performed in films, music videos and danced with notable dance/performance companies.
Aside from focusing on her own personal career, Jayla has established a dance training program entitled Rendezvous Commercial Dance (2021) in Nova Scotia. The program offers intensive dance training and performance opportunities for dancers. She looks forward to continuing to grow the commercial dance industry in her hometown to help others on career paths of their own.
